Digilu Case Study · AI Trust Visibility

Real Coaching.
Now AI Can Read It.

For years, great coaching and a perfect rating were enough to fill a studio. Then people started asking AI assistants which coach to call. Josh Miller built a five-star training studio in San Clemente, and Digilu rebuilt its site so those assistants can read what clients already know.

Six Pillars of AI Trust. Measured, Not Estimated.

AIOInsights scores a site on six pillars of AI trust visibility. The way AI reads a site changed, and O-SEA Fit's first site, built for people, read lowest on the pillars that matter most for a local personal training business. Today the live site reads 9.1 of 10. Before is the first site, measured June 26, 2026; today is oseafit.com, measured November 1, 2026.

The Web Changed Under a Well-Loved Studio

Josh Miller coaches personal training, semi-private training, and youth fitness in San Clemente. Local clients trust him with something personal: their health, their strength, and their kids. The reputation is real and it is unanimous: a perfect 5.0 rating on Google, where every single review is five stars.

Then the way people choose a coach changed. They ask an AI assistant, and it answers from what it can read. O-SEA Fit found Digilu through a free AIOInsights check, which measures exactly that. The site scored 6.6 out of 10, with Trust and Local Presence, the two pillars that matter most for a local studio, at 2.0 and 4.0.

The coaching and the five-star reviews were real, and the site showed them to every visitor. What it did not carry was structured data, the layer AI assistants read first, so the studio's strongest proof never reached them.

The gaps the check found

  • Trust (2.0): no AggregateRating in the structured data, so AI could not see the 5.0 Google rating from the studio’s own site.
  • Local Presence (4.0): no Google Maps link and no service-area structure for San Clemente and South Orange County.
  • AI Discoverability (6.9): no llms.txt and no clean entity graph for a modern crawler to parse.

Built for Clients. Rebuilt for Clients and AI.

The first site did its job for people who already knew Josh. The rebuild puts Josh, the coaching and the proof at the top, written so AI can read them too. Here is the first site, the rebuild, and the score it produced.

What we built. A warm, owner-first design that leads with Josh, the 5.0 Google rating, and the community behind it, all of it written as structured data an AI model can read.

Why we made the change

People and AI assistants size up a coach in the first few seconds, on the trust they can see. O-SEA Fit had a flawless record clients relied on. Putting that proof first, and encoding it as schema, made it readable to both.

A plate for the personal training gym, with the same sea

O-SEA Fit is the personal training side: where people grow from their first kettlebell to plates on a bar. Its mark has to belong to the same family as CrossFit’s and still be its own. The answer being drawn is a weight plate, carrying O-SEA’s waves.

How Digilu makes a brand

The same six rules on every identity. Below them, the rounds that mattered for O-SEA Fit: not every round, the ones that changed the direction.

  1. Start from what they ownReferences first: the logo they have, the sketch on a napkin, the board somebody likes. The first drawing stays close to it.
  2. Every round is publishedEach round goes on the client’s Brand page the day it is ready, newest first, with what changed and why.
  3. Every mark carries an ideaNo six weights of the same drawing. Each option shown is a different idea or a fix somebody asked for.
  4. Small sizes get their own drawingA browser tab is 16 pixels. The mark is redrawn for 16, 32, full size and the phone home screen, never just shrunk.
  5. The lock becomes a systemLockups, one color, reversed, an embroidery cut, favicons, social images, guidelines and a download kit, all generated from the locked drawing.
  6. Nothing is thrown awayRounds that lose are archived with the reason. The client can always see how the mark got where it is.

Keep the brand whole, so we can always go back

O-SEA’s logo is a hexagon of four teal waves. Its two gyms wrote the name two different ways: CrossFit clean, Fit as a distressed stamp. Before drawing anything, every original file was saved byte for byte as the revert point.

Six ideas for two gyms, black and white first

One wordmark for both gyms, drawn clean from the original lettering, and six icon ideas: their hex kept, the O holding the sea, a kettlebell with the sea inside it. Black and white first, so the idea has to stand without the teal.

A real plate, not a donut

A ring with a hole reads as a donut. Drawn to a real 25 lb plate’s proportions, with a solid hub and the bar hole in the middle of the sea, it reads as a plate. A rule came out of the later rounds: the hole sits inside the sea, never above it, or it becomes a sun.

One band, and small sizes that are only waves

The round that was picked: one band around the outside, a bigger hole, and at small sizes nothing but the plate’s waves, because a plate’s detail disappears at sixteen pixels and the sea does not. It became v19.

O-SEA Fit, v19

A plate whose face is the sea from the O-SEA hex: four rows of waves in four teals, a light hub, the bar hole as the O, and one white band around the outside. FIT is set in O-SEA’s own letters, and the tagline has its own lockups: From kettle bells to plates. Personal training with Josh.

He Already Had the Trust. It Just Wasn’t Reaching AI.

O-SEA Fit did not need a louder pitch. It had a wall of five-star reviews and a community that keeps coming back. What changed was who reads the website first: an AI system now often reads it before a person does, and that reputation was not yet written in a form it could use.

We published the real aggregate rating as AggregateRating structured data, added Review objects, and marked the studio up as a literal LocalBusiness / HealthClub. Now when an AI system reads the site, the first thing it learns is that real clients trust Josh, and exactly how much.

His biggest asset is now the first thing both people and machines see.

What Digilu Built

The studio's story, rebuilt for the way AI reads the web.

Machine-Readable Trust

Real AggregateRating and Review structured data so AI systems can finally see the 5.0 Google rating and the reviews behind it, straight from the studio’s own site.

Local Service-Area Pages

Pages for San Clemente and South Orange County, each with local content, a Google Maps link, and its own schema, so the studio shows up for the place it serves.

AI Discoverability Layer

A literal LocalBusiness / HealthClub markup, an llms.txt file, an AI-crawler-friendly robots.txt, a clean sitemap, and an entity graph so modern crawlers can find and trust the site.

An Owner-First Brand

A warm, ocean-toned design system and a real O-SEA Fit logo that lead with Josh and the community from the first second.

Program Depth

Dedicated pages for personal training, semi-private training, and youth fitness, each written for the questions clients actually ask, and structured for AI to answer them.

Lead Capture That Works

A contact form that emails the studio directly, plus phone and consultation calls to action on every page, turning new visibility into real conversations.

A Case Study That Keeps Score

Digilu does not stop at launch. This site is actively managed, and its AIOInsights score is re-measured on the live engine every month. The number below is not a one-time result, it is a public, running record. Last checked November 2026; next check December 2026.

Each bar is a real monthly reading from the live AIOInsights engine. Readings marked “build” were taken on the new site before it went live on its own domain. As the site earns real traffic and results, winning performance metrics will be added here too.

The trust was always there. Visibility was the missing piece.

A near-perfect score is not the goal. It is the evidence. O-SEA Fit proves what the trust thesis predicts: when a studio already deserves to be chosen, the work is not manufacturing trust, it is making the trust legible to the systems doing the recommending.

Search is changing. People ask an AI assistant which coach to call before they ever open a map. The studios that win that question are the ones whose proof is machine-readable. Josh’s clients always trusted him. Now the machines can read why.

That is the thesis. O-SEA Fit is the proof.
